The world is regulating what we already refused.
Five jurisdictions. One direction of travel.
Why It Matters
An estimated 100 million tourists return home with severe sunburn every year. Roughly 10% of everyone who travels.
UV radiation is the largest preventable cause of skin cancer. The window after exposure — when skin is inflamed and actively repairing — is when the ingredients you apply matter most. Five jurisdictions have already banned what we refused to include from day one.

Hawaii
2018
First U.S. state to ban oxybenzone & octinoxate (Act 104).
Palau
2020
Banned ten reef-toxic sunscreen ingredients outright.
USVI
2020
Banned oxybenzone, octinoxate and octocrylene.
Bonaire
2021
Followed the Caribbean reef-safe wave.
Key West
2021
City-level ban on oxybenzone & octinoxate.

Our Position
We did not reformulate to comply. We complied from the start.
Every ingredient banned by the laws above was excluded from XSYN-4 in our very first formulation, years before any regulator required it. The regulators caught up. We were not ahead of the curve; we were simply unwilling to be on the wrong side of it.
How the formula actually works on UV-stressed skin.
